Fisker co-founders Henrik Fisker and Dr. Geeta Gupta-Fisker spoke with Pope Francis on Thursday to present their concept for a green popemobile. It has a glass cupola that will allow the dad to greet the public. Presumably, the EV is made of armored and the glass can’t be bulletproof, as it were that is the reason with popemobiles built by Mercedes-Benz.
Hybrid popemobiles have been built before, but these are the first fully electric. “The Fisker Ocean papal delivery package will consist of a variety of durable materials, including carpets made from recycled plastic bottles from the ocean,” Fisker said in a statement.
Fisker’s goal is to start making basic Ocean in November 2022. It remains to be seen whether dad will find his EV before regular Sea delivery begins. In any case, the electronic popemobile is more likely to actually exist than the one powered by Pope Benedict XVI. like a decade ago.
