The Witcher fans, you may want to decline any and all invitations to attend on July 9. Yes, it’s a Friday, but it’s also when Netflix and CD Projekt Red hold a virtual The Witcher convention with events featuring both games and live action series. The developer says it won’t be announcing a new game at the moment WitcherCon, but you can expect the standard convention fare. There is a deep immersion in the production (as well as behind the scenes footage) not only of the show and games, but also including anime movies and franchise merch.
The convention will also feature interactive panels that provide insight into the people carrying the games and being shown live. In addition, there are experts to explore The Witcher proves. WitcherCon will stream YouTube and Twitch channels on CD Projekt Red. The event will be available for streaming at 1PM ET on July 9, but there will be a second streaming broadcast at 9PM with a different content to it.
In addition to announcing WitcherCon, Netflix has also released a trailer for The Witcher’s second season. While only a few seconds long, it explores Ciri’s story in season 2, which (unfortunately) doesn’t have a premiere date yet.
