James Gunn’s Peacemaker gets Bridgerton’s Freddie Stroma

Freddie Stroma (Bridgerton) made in a recurring role as Adrian Chase, aka Vigilante, in James Gunn’s HBO series Max Peacemaker.

Agreed to Deadline, Stroma replaces Chris Conrad, who originally took on the role but left the show due to creative differences.

Peacemaker straight in sequential order with eight stages. James Gunn will write and direct and act as an executive producer alongside Peter Safran, Matt Miller. Star John Cena will act as Co-executive producer.

The show is an action-comedy that explores the origins of John Cena’s character in The Suicide Squad. Agreed to Character in DC Comics, the series follows a man who believes in complete peace at any cost. Vigilante a New York City district attorney who adopted the alter ego to kill his wife and child by mobsters. He was a skilled teacher, a warrior warrior, and had the power to heal.

Stroma is surrounded by a stellar cast, including Danielle Brooks (Orange Is the New Black), Robert Patrick (Terminator 2), Nhut Le (Kroll Show), companion Suicide Squad, film characters Steve Agee and Jennifer Holland return to the series.

Peacemaker planned to debut in the spring of 2022, while James Gunn’s Suicide Squad scheduled for theatrical release on August 6, 2021.
