Hamas said it launched 130 rockets toward Israel after a residential tower in Gaza collapsed following an Israeli air strike.
A 13-story residential tower in Gaza City collapsed after Israeli airstrikes targeted construction.
There were no reports of casualties among residents, who reportedly vacated the Hanadi tower before it was hit.
Video footage showed three streams of thick smoke rising from the tower, the high floor of this tower until it collapsed to the ground. The tower has an office used by the political leadership of Gaza’s Islamist ruler Hamas.
Electricity in the area around the building was turned off after the collapse. Residents use flashlights to locate personal belongings nearby.
Shortly after the strike, Hamas, the group that controls the excavated strip of Gaza, said it was launching 130 rockets toward the Israeli town of Tel Aviv.
Hamas ’armed wing, the Qassem Brigades, warned it would retaliate against the tower strike near the coast, before confirming it was launching an attack on“ Tel Aviv and neighborhoods with 130 missiles ”.
