At least 30 people were killed as fighting escalated on Tuesday between Israel and Hamas, with the Israeli military launching airstrikes in Gaza as the militant group fired rockets at Israel.
More than two dozen Palestinians, including women and children, were reported killed in the airstrikes, which also led to the toppling of a 13 -storey building in Gaza. The Rockets fired indiscriminately from what was claimed in Gaza at least three lives in Israel, where the projectiles traveled as far as Tel Aviv.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu SAYS Hamas “paid, and will pay, a heavy price for their aggression,” but the U.S. called for calm and destruction.
On Tuesday, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, who had previously condemned the expulsions of east Jerusalem, he is said to have been “deeply concerned” by the “rapid escalation” of violence.
“Israel’s security forces must show greater restraint and calm their use of force,” a spokesman for the secretary-general SAYS, before adding: “Unacceptable launching of rockets and mortars into Israeli population centers is unacceptable.”
